I found this little delight on Style.com under 'In the mood for Valentine's Day?'
well, yes Style.com, I am.....
but if you could help me understand how I am supposed to justify $10,200 that would be super!!
Actually, who am I kidding, justifying it would come after actually being able to entertain the idea of buying it. The idea of actually buying it has not crossed my mind.
But lets just love on it a little bit. What a lovely piece of arm candy.
p.s. Rachel Zoe purchased this bracelet for herself (for her and Rodger's) anniversary in one of their show's episodes! Which makes me like it even more for some reason. Can't help but love that show....bc it's b-a-n-a-n-a-s of course!

So....I know I've been mentioning bangles/cuffs in a couple posts...
I love a good stack of gold on the wrist...i really do.
I've been mulling over which one (or ones) I love enough to actually invest in; and I've made my choice. Melinda Maria 'full moon and stars pod cuff' (on far left in pic).....kind of lovely no? After that little sucker is happily settled in it's new home on my wrist, I'm fairly certain it will want a lover....enter the 'pod pave cuff' (2 center cuffs in pic).
Yup---it's happening; however it's not happening today bc the one cuff i want is on back order (of course)...so i have to patiently wait....not something I'm tremendously good at! ha.
I'm sure I'll survive, It is just a cuff after all.

Realllly loving Marni necklaces right now...
problem is, my wallet doesn't really love them.......what a predicament.
but dang, wouldn't one of these candy colored delights be sure to brighten your day?
i think so.
hrm.....
maybe i'll find a magical Marni necklace tree.....one can hope at least.

On another note, foolishly went for a run yest with the hubbs (in the almost 100 degree heat) and seriously thought I was going to get heat stroke....
half way through I got cold chills and this weird feeling like I just could NOT be in the sun any longer...
then spent the rest of the night drinking water and quivering on the couch....not fun....needless to say I think I'll take the day off while it's sweltering out there.....

A random sharing on this cloudy Tuesday! I have the day off (random middle of the week(ness)?!)...so I'm going to do my hair run through with the lovely Crystal from Lux; workout with Natalie, order our rings (the pic at top is what I'm ordering except with rose gold filigree sides instead of white gold). For a little I was thinking I wanted something that matched my ring...custom made. Now 1 mo. until the day, I just don't have time. I freaked out for a second, then decided that gives me creative freedom. It doesn't have to match, and instead of being bummed I decided to do something really different, and I LOVE it :-)

I roasted some veggies last night, just threw on what I had on hand, butternut squash, carrots and onions (wishing for beets, oh well!). Sprinkled olive oil, dill and a seasoning mix with salt, pepper, garlic salt and parsley. SOOO good, can I just say. I piled this mix a top red quinoa, topped with arugula and feta. YUM. serious. Meal inspired by Kristina, seen here.

Lastly, I snapped a pic of a gifted clutch (from the shower), which I've been receiving lots of compliments on....thank you Shannon, so sweet. I love it.

A Dress Has Been Ordered!!!

Yup yup....I have ordered a dress...it's not for sure if it's 'the one'....but we shall see!! I was starting to get really stressed out about the whole 'finding a dress' thing....and even if this isn't the one, it has shed some light on the whole thing...brought back the element of fun, instead of just the stress and time lines. I'm getting excited to try it on....and am getting really excited about accessorizing it! I am starting to think that it might be sassy fun to do a big statement necklace--like the ones above!!!

Or....I also ordered this Lux cocktail bracelet from Jcrew and will see how it looks with my shoes and the dress!!! I ended up getting the Tigerlily necklace for Christmas (!!! yayaya) and could layer a couple of those with this bracelet.......instead of the big necklace.

Do you see what I mean....how does one choose such exciting details!?!?

I will post more soon...cant possibly give away too many details now can I....but I do sort of hope the dress works out, and then comes the exciting task for 'bedazzling' it : ) Then there is always the option of an amazing fancy headpiece....oh my!

Hope everyone had a lovely New Year, I was coming down with the flu....but know that 2010 holds many many wonderful and new changes for me!

I am an avid birthday lover (generally getting just as excited about my loved one's birthdays as much as my own!). I wanted to share some of my beautiful gifts because I found people were so very thoughtful this year to me, and I was very touched : ) Not only were people thoughtful, but the things they so generously chose for me were beautiful and I am (only one day out) enjoying them tremendously! I did not post pictures of every single present because that would be a bit tedious given the delightful generosity of my friends...but thought that I would share the beautiful Shannon Len earrings that my honey picked out for me at Hands Gallery. If you read my blog then you know that I am a Shannon Len jewelry lover, and now have 2 pairs of her beautiful earrings in my slowly growing jewelry collection. These ones shown are amazing mid sized gold hoops with multicolored gems strung along the backside so when they twist you can see all the amazing detail!!! I also received the most comfortable (I'm really not kidding..I've barley taken it off!) wrap from Danielle, made by DreamSacks bamboo clothing. You cannot imagine how beautiful and cozy this wrap is..and the amazing pumpkin color (nectar), and fact that's it's made from bamboo makes me smile!!! Pictured with the wrap are a few of my new favorite bracelets from Alex & Ani (also purchased at Hands Gallery) those being gifts to myself!
There were many more lovely thoughts...my favorite t shirt from Gap in one of my favorite clothing colors ;-) (coral)...and a set of lovely Pottery Barn plates from the Loughran's. Gift cards to Pottery Barn and a nail salon from Katie and Shannon and Andreas. A bottle of Francis Coppola's SOFIA Blanc de Blancs sparkling wine from Rachel and Dustin, which is honestly too beautiful to even contemplate opening right now...a peacock cuff bracelet, satin floral headband and green tea candle from Marissa and Desiree (not to mention the cinnamon butter cream cupcakes that were also baked!!!)
Basically a big thank you, as I said, I am merely delighted to have such wonderful friends....no gifts necessary...but they sure are good at giving them!! ;-)

More Fresh Lovin'

My fresh obsession started here with their mascara....and has evolved into a full blown issue. I am diagnosing it an issue after today when I purchased their Rose Face Primer (I have a hard time not buying things that smell like rose) and Fig Apricot Eau De Parfum (how can you really pass up fig..I mean really). But wow...do I smell amazing! Also, my little hand came in the mail yesterday and I think it's so funny--It's also heavy, a bonus (given that I have a weird weight issue about my stuff) preferring things to be heavy as opposed to light (except sunglasses...which I prefer to be light..obviously). Maybe not the most interesting post of my life...but I'm still pretty pumped about my 'Figgy goodness'.

After we got engaged she wanted to get me one of those funny 'hands' that you can put your ring on while you wash your face-do the dishes etc.  Well, we found one, and while I think they are a wee bit creepy...I do LOVE it and am excited to put it next to my little jewelry tree!  It could use a bit of de-cluttering!

Floral 'Body Candy'

In the new issue of Lucky Magazine (which by the way is a 'goodie') on pg. 110 they feature a spread about Flower Jewelry that seriously blew my socks off!! I love pretty much everything on the page!! The Starshine Cuff by Ghost and Lola, made of brass and glass, is beautiful and wont break the bank! Elizabeth Cole's 24k gold plate and Swarovski crystal necklace (second from top) is so beautifully decadent an the little crystal and gold branch earrings (bottom) are organically quaint and precious!! Needless to say I'll be dreaming of crystals and shiny metal in the shape of pretty flowers for nights to come!
p.s. It SNOWED last night on the Central Coast (not a lot--and only really in North County) but I'll be posting our little AM expedition in a bit! : )
