** favourite childhood books **

{picture via :: Souvenirs}...isn't it lovely?
There are definitely more that I'm absolutely sure I'm forgetting....but these are a few of the favorites that popped into my head! I've been inspired lately by the art and stories of these childhood memories. The sweet 'simple...not so simple' stories, the colorful 'basic...no so basic' art, it's all so perfectly appealing!! I think I am going to start a collection of all of these childhood books, for my own inspiration now, and for *someone else's* inspiration later ;-)

Mine are: The Foot Book by Dr. Seuss and Pokey Little Puppy. My daddy read them to me every night :)

I have your books on the shelf here at the house.

It's "The Hungery Catapillar"

Do you remember "The Best Nest" or "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish Blue Fish?"

I can still recite them after reading to them to you a million times when you were little.
Love you,
Marme
