Pretty Babies!

Our little vase was empty for a while, but now it's full with Pussy Willows and Globe Alliums! I am loving the combo of the two and think those Alliums are architectural and delightfully pretty! It's so much cozier in here with fresh blooms ;-)
Happy Weekend Everyone!

One Hand Up

My momma is so sweet.
After we got engaged she wanted to get me one of those funny 'hands' that you can put your ring on while you wash your face-do the dishes etc.  Well, we found one, and while I think they are a wee bit creepy...I do LOVE it and am excited to put it next to my little jewelry tree!  It could use a bit of de-cluttering!
Thanks Momma ;-)

New Rug--Like or No?

The rug got here the other day and I think it's a keeper. Nothing fancy...but it sure does lend an extra something to our living room!! I couldn't help but throw my pretty Michael Kors flats in the pic...I was wearing them and standing on the rug the other day and noticed how pretty they looked against it (oh my goodness....I'm a weirdo). What do you think...given the pictures of my living room which has changed slightly since this pic..but the couch set is still the same. A sage green with that sort of navy and cream of the rug?!
Happy Monday (if there is such a thing? ;-)

Aveda Embrightenment Revisited ;-)

I said I would do a post revisiting the effects of Aveda's Embrightenment collection, so here I am. I have the WHOLE collection and ((seriously)) am obsessed with it and LOVE it. That's a lot of excitement for one sentence. Go to Aveda's site to read the details...all I can say is that the aroma is light but wonderful, the consistencies and textures of the products are wonderful, and I really have NO complaints about the line so far....I have been using it for a couple months now and still have a ways to go as far as testing Aveda's guarantee on the line. Really....my one delight is that I enjoy it, and the best part is that it doesn't make me break out (more than I do hormonally already) which is really a selling point. It's a great skin care line for people who want to move up from the adolescent 'Cetephil's' and 'Proactive's' of the world but aren't really ready for something intensively "anti aging". If you have any specific questions about the line, or my personal experience please e mail me!!
* I will say my favorites of the line are the :: cleanser (nourishing with coconut surfactants, slightly exfoliating and opalescent looking--you only need a smidgen with lots of water and it suds up wonderfully), the toner (a "2 in 1" with the toning effects we love and the liquid exfoliation that we need...leaves skin silky smooth and totally free of built up dry skin cells), and the moisturizing cream (I'm always weary of cream's because I have combination skin--but this one moisturizes amazingly and still feels light and un-stifling!).

Needing A Fresh Take

(* pic-Our living room (It has changed since X-Mas (Poinsettia) replaced with Orchid and The Black Apple print added, Couch from World Market, Pillows from Pottery Barn.)
Ohhh my, have I got a 'master plan' for our re decoration ideas!! Let's just say it's not the easiest thing in the world to find a 'nice place' in SLO. Our requirements are:: A W/D hookup, an out door space, and a second bedroom (if we're lucky)...given these 'moving requirements' it's a slow process trying to find our perfect rental match. Regardless if we move or not, we need a little freshening up around here. Given our budget I'm really looking at Ikea to give me that modern, fun and functional approach. I'm hoping we can get this little project under way shortly...I'll keep you posted on the details, and of course if you have any recommendations please let me know, I love hearing your opinions!!

Official Wedding Colors!!!

It's official....over lunch at Artisan (which I will add, has, arguably the best food on the CC and definitely the best mimosa I've drank in a while!!) with Danielle on Sunday I finally decided on my color scheme!! It's going to be a palette of mint green (light) and coral (like coral peonies)!! I am very happy with this decision, and super excited to try and find elements and details that I think will coordinate with this scheme : ) Hope everyone had a beautiful weekend, mine flew by far too fast!

More Dress Ponderings-Oh My!!

These sweet designs are from Simple Silhouettes and I think they are sort of whimsical and sweet!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the top option with those modern floral pins attached to the halter...and also love the more architectural version of those big pleated pieces of fabric on the second. They have some really pretty colors available (which is delightful!!). Only time will tell, luckily something I have more of than less in this case!
I am having lunch tomorrow with Danielle (at some amazing restaurant which uses local and organic ingredients in their dishes!!! yayaya) and will be discussing colors....I am leaning towards wanting to tie in that beautiful cobalt blue of my shoes...but also find it to be quite a bold color to use frequently (thoughts!?! Ideas!??!). Happy weekend people ;-)

It wont be till late spring, so I have time to mull things over, but....I am LOVING this skirt (and this skirt..but I can't decide between the two..*both* )and tank from Jcrew and have been obsessed with these shoes ever since I saw them in the style pages of Elle a few months back. Still can't track down where to actually buy them..can't find them anywhere online for sale : ( I know they are a little crazy...but hey...they are kind of fabulous and amazing too.
