Kat Von D - girl crush....

Ok ok....not to 'cheat' on Aveda....but I have a girl crush on Kat Von D....well, basically because she's an amazing artist !!!! Not only that...but she is just so flippin' rad. Next on my makeup list are her eyeshadow pallet's in 'Beethoven' 'Ludwig' and 'True Love'.....along with her lipstick in 'Underage Red' and 'Lolita'....ohhhh I can't wait...there is more awesome makeup in my future!!!!! Only at Sephora : )

Christmas Feast !!

The prettiest head of cauliflower I've ever seen....almost too pretty to eat...but it was so v. tasty!

Baked Brie from here...with cranberries and walnuts instead of cherries and almonds.

Christmas contained a plethora of amazing food...veggie scramble (bear bread...see here from last year), fresh fruit sprinkled with Cinnamon and fresh eggnog (better cold momma...) yum yum...oh, can't forget the hot cocoa with rum (!!). Dinner was beautiful and so fun, curried citrus rice with almonds, this cauliflower recipe, pan sauteed salmon, and roasted greens......with our version of this baked brie recipe...we substituted cranberries for cherries and walnuts for almonds, but kept the honey and rosemary....delicious!!!! Besides the food, we had a beautiful day spent with family, and really nothing is better than that!!!

Pretty lights !!

Wes found this super lit up little house the other day and took me over to see it all lit up at night!!! So fun and festive...though I can't say I would want their electric bill !!! It was even more fun than the picture allows, they had glowing orbs in the trees, and little miniature golf course out front. I wish I shared their enthusiasm for holiday decorating, but my little bits will have to suffice!

what's your pillow style!?

I just found this article via this lady and thought is was interesting and sort of fun to figure out what your pillows say about you! Sometimes I wish I were the minimalist...so pretty and clean and simple. So what do you pillows say about you? Here's what mine look like!

This is my bed...I feel like my 'pillow style' varies depending on how I feel. I definitely have a plethora of throw pillows hanging around and like to mix and match them on the bed. Right now, we've got 2 large down throw pillows on there, sometimes they are on our couch...and two smaller colorful pillows to spice it up a bit! I guess I am a little Bohemian, maybe a little tradition with a twist. If you post your pillow style, leave a link, I think it's a really cute little article : )

Ombre Hair....fully obsessed : )

I love this...it's pretty hot if you ask me...we call it melting at my salon/spa, but ombre is tres chic don't you think!? This look has been all over Lux, on all the employees hair, on our clients hair...I love the undone feel of anything...especially hair! I've got a bit of this going on in my hair right now, and this only makes me want more!!! What do you think of this surfer(ish)...undone hair............honestly, I'm fully obsessed!!!!

you must be wondering how many flippin' times i can post on bags....well....to be honest i could do a few per week i'm sure, but I will try and limit myself to one every other week or so ;-)

I think after looking...searching...'window shopping' and stalking people with bags i thought i may want....i have finally decided which bag i indeed (need) in my life.

Clare Vivier..why are you so awesome? The colors...the simplicity, functionality and long lasting stylistic appeal make for a beautiful hand crafted creation.....with colors like navy, aubergine, gray, black and a caramel colored brown.....the hard part is choosing. I think I'm pretty settled on the navy...such a rich lux version of the color, and not too trendy or passing, i think this bag will really last me through the years, and that is what sells me!

yeah...........oh wait now i have to coax someone into getting it for me for Christmas....or simply ordering it for myself (haha....i would).

This is the wreath I'm thinking of for some fun and retro holiday decor.......I'm not one for typical decorating (in fact, I should just say that I am not the best at holiday decorating in general...although I always enjoy other peoples decor)....so this wreath seams perfect, not to traditional red and green, and OH SO pretty!
